About the Event

Auditions Date TBC - Spring 2021

Auditions will comprise of

  • Group dance (demo & tutorial video available ahead of time - also taught on the day)
  • Acting piece (for speaking parts - specific parts will be sent out after applying)
  • Solo singing (specific parts will be sent out after applying)

The audition date will be confirmed in due course. You must be aged 9-18 at the time of the performances to audition, although anyone who would have been 18 on the original production dates (November 2020) but will turn 19 before November 2021 can still perform with us on this occasion. The first 30 people who sign up for auditions will definitely be able to be involved in the production in some capacity (after that point, others can still sign up and audition but unfortunately cannot be guaranteed a place).

You will be asked to audition for only the one part (or ensemble) that you'd most like (from a slightly reduced character list for the purposes of auditions), although will also be considered for other roles if you're happy to be - a brief description of the roles available (with along with the audition songs, script and dance for each) can be found at the following link - please have a look through before going ahead to the registration.!AiFNnnuQLzE8jZdG-cOkzJFsXl833A?e=sCMHyP

Show Bio:

A fabulously fun international award-winning musical based on the adored movie, LEGALLY BLONDE JR. follows the transformation of Elle Woods as she tackles stereotypes, snobbery, and scandal in pursuit of her dreams. Adapted for younger performers and based on the popular movie, this show features an upbeat original score that's sure to leave audience members young and old seeing pink! When Elle's high school boyfriend, Warner, dumps her and heads to Harvard, claiming she's not "serious" enough, Elle takes matters into her own hands, crafting a showy song-and-dance personal essay and charming her way into law school. Befriending classmate, Emmett, and spunky hairdresser, Paulette, along the way, Elle finds that books and looks aren't mutually exclusive.  As Elle begins outsmarting her peers, she realizes that law may be her natural calling after all.
