This will be following a similar structure to our previous 'show in a week' productions & workshops, and will run at the Gallery Studio Theatre from 17th - 22nd Feb 2025, with 3 performances on the Saturday.
Spaces are now available to book (subject to availability) at the link here
This will be our sixth 'show in a week' project (following Legally Blonde Jr, Frozen Jr, High School Musical Jr, Matilda Jr & Shrek Jr), and has been chosen based on a poll taken from participants at our Matilda Jr auditions!

In addition to offering 35 spaces for performers (aged 9-18, more info below), we're again opening the project to young people who would like to be backstage too! There’ll be a range of roles available in the crew, working alongside & being taught by industry professionals, and this will be open to anyone aged 12-18 to sign up. We're also offering 'young creative' positions again, for 3 people aged 16-19 to work alongside the creative team putting the show together. All of the participants will receive everything on the list below, but please contact us for any more info!
For less than £20 per day you get all of this:
Audition / Introduction Workshop before the main week
Guaranteed place in the production for everyone who signs up (on stage for 'cast' and backstage for 'crew')
A full week of sessions with our experienced creative & production team (9am-5pm daily)
Book of the script & vocal score to keep
Show logo T-Shirt to keep
Put on 3 performances for an audience in a full production with professional lighting, sound, staging, props & costumes
Pizza ordered in for between shows on the Saturday
Individual headshot photos taken (at auditions)
Licensed chaperones on site at all times
Early drop off / late pick up available (8.30am - 5.30pm)
After Party & Video Showing a couple of weeks after the show
Open to anyone to sign up, no experience or membership required, although because of licensing rules and the work required, all performers must be aged 9-18, and backstage participants must be aged 12-18 as of the performance day.

We'll be holding an audition/induction workshop on Sunday 5th January, to get to meet everyone and assign the roles for both onstage and backstage (everyone will be included in the show, it's just to work out who gets which role)! This will be group based, nice and informal, and you won't have to learn anything ahead of time. Performers will take part in short singing, acting and dancing workshops - while crew members will get to have a go at each of the technical roles to see what works best! At this session, we'll also take headshot pictures & get sizes for t-shirt orders, and give you the script & access to online content so you can look over it all before the rehearsals begin. We'll have plenty of people on hand at this session too to answer any questions before we get to the big week!
During the main week we'll be based at the Gallery Studio Theatre, and will be rehearsing 9am-5pm each day (with early drop off available from 8.30am, and pick up any time by 5.30pm). We'll have a range of sessions every day, to learn the whole show in the week! While performers are rehearsing their choreography and vocals, the crew members will be getting all of the technical elements ready for the show, and getting to grips with their roles too - we like to make sure everyone's busy all week! The scenery, props, sound and lighting etc will be in place from day 1, so you'll have the unique opportunity to practise everything on the actual stage throughout the week! We'll have a big creative team to work with, and licensed chaperones present at all times. Please note that everyone will need to bring a packed lunch and drinks every day, as for safeguarding reasons we won't be letting people leave the building during the day (facilities will be available for refilling water bottles).
On the Saturday we'll be doing 3 performances of the show to an audience (11.15am, 3pm & 7pm). Between shows 2 & 3, we'll order in pizza for everyone, but you'll still need a packed lunch for between shows 1 & 2. Tickets to be in the audience for these shows will be available to buy nearer the time (available to families of participants before anyone else)!
On the evening of Saturday 8th March, we'll be having the video showing / after party, where everyone will be invited to come back and celebrate the show!
Spaces are strictly limited, and available on a first come, first served basis. Payment in full is typically required on sign up to guarantee your place, though we may be able to set up a payment plan on an individual case by case basis if required - please contact info@limelightperformers.co.uk for more information. If for any reason we have to cancel the project, you'll receive a full refund - however if you choose to cancel your booked place before the audition workshop, you'll receive a 75% refund of any monies paid. After the audition workshop, you'll only receive a refund of 50% if you choose to cancel your booked place.
