Get to know your new theatre group for Suffolk
Quality productions for everyone to enjoy!
Although Limelight Performers are still a relatively new group, our team are no strangers to the local theatre scene. Started by James Aleksic with a great group to help - we noticed a gap in the local area for a new group to produce high quality shows throughout the year, and give more opportunities to everyone in the community to take part and perform in a range of our amazing nearby venues.
The name Limelight Performers came about in an early discussion, remembering a competition that James had won as a child to name a local theatre's front of house bar (with "Limelights" as the winning name) - and we felt it was the perfect way for us to quickly show our number one passion, giving everyone their chance to be "in the limelight" and get to experience the wonderful world of theatre (whether on stage, backstage or in the audience)!
In November 2020 we became a Registered Charity in England and Wales (Number 1192522).
We've got lots of exciting projects planned, and look forward to welcoming you to come and see what we do!
Meet the Trustees
Our trustees share all responsibilities within the running of the group (and often take on further roles for specific shows along with additional production team members), but we've included email addresses and a rough guide to everyone's main duties below, so if you'd like to get in touch with anyone directly, you can!
Chairman & Production Manager
James started up Limelight Performers in 2019 to create lots more opportunities for people to perform in, work on and enjoy local theatre. James also continues to run JLA Sound and Light and has designed and worked on sound, lighting and more for a wide number of productions and events both around Suffolk and further afield. He's really looking forward to bringing his years of professional theatre experience to Limelight and helping to create the best productions around!
These companies have all recently supported us (or are run by individuals who have really helped us out) - please share the love and check them out!

Meet Our Friends
Our 'Friends' are made up of members of the public who pay only £5 a year to support our ongoing running costs, and get a wide range of benefits in return - including discounts on tickets, exclusive trips, events and much more. These supporters allow us to continue what we do, and we wouldn't be here without them!
Some of our teams, volunteers and other members are also on our 'Friends' list as part of their agreements.
