We can't wait to return with more workshops, where you can learn and perform a whole show in a week!
After the huge success of our first couple of projects, we're thrilled to be doing 2 shows a year going forwards (the first in the Feb Half Term, and second in the Summer Holidays). In addition to offering over 30 spaces for performers (aged 9-18), we're also now opening up the project to young people who would like to be backstage (aged 12-18) to work alongside industry professionals to put the show together!
We'll be rehearsing 9am-5pm from Monday to Friday, then doing 2 performances to audiences on the Saturday. This will all be based at the Gallery Studio Theatre (previously known as the New Wolsey Studio), with sessions being run by our experienced creative team - including industry professionals!
For less than £20 a day, you get all of this:

Full group based audition workshop around 5 weeks before the production

Guaranteed place in the show for everyone who signs up

A full week of sessions with our experienced creative team (9am-5pm daily), rehearsing on the set with all props and technical elements from day 1

Book of the script & vocal score to keep

Show logo T-Shirt to keep

Put on 2 performances for an audience in a full production with professional lighting, sound, staging, props & costumes (simple base costume to be provided by performer)

Pizza ordered for between shows on the Saturday

Individual headshot photos taken (at auditions)

After Party & Video Showing a couple of weeks after the show
Open to anyone to sign up, no experience or membership required, although because of licensing rules, all participants must be within the above age brackets as of the performance day.

Well done everyone super proud of the whole cast. What a pleasure to watch. Josie and Isabella had a great time all week and I am really impressed with the casting, the set, the singing, the memory of lines…. Thank you to everyone who gave their time and absolute kindness… my girls have done quite a few shows before but never been treated so well! Pizza, ice lollies and lots of encouragement. I just wanted to say again what a fantastic week Legally Blonde was. My girls have done lots of shows with other groups, and thoroughly enjoyed every minute with Limelight Performers. The organisation was fantastic and the care for the children was second to none. It's a week they'll remember for a very long time, and hopefully they've made some lasting friendships too! Roll on the next show in a week - they'll definitely be there if we're free!!!!
