Show in a week!
We can't wait to run our summer workshop, where you can learn and perform a show in a week!
This year we're thrilled to be doing Legally Blonde Jr as the show! It's a brilliant, high energy, exciting show (based on the famous film) with lots of individual roles to fill as well as big ensemble numbers - and we'd love you to be a part of it!
We'll be rehearsing 9am-5pm from Monday 8th to Friday 12th August, then doing 2 performances to audiences on Saturday 13th August. This will all be based at the Gallery Studio Theatre (previously known as the New Wolsey Studio), with sessions being run by our experienced creative team - including industry professionals!
Find out more below, and simply fill in the sign up form to register to take part! If you have any questions, please contact us and we'll get back to you as soon as possible.

We'll be holding an audition workshop on Wednesday 6th July, 6pm-9pm at St. Peter's by the Waterfront to get to meet everyone and cast the roles (everyone will be in the show, it's just to work out who plays which part)! The audition will be group based, nice and informal, and you won't have to learn anything ahead of time. At this session, we'll also take headshot pictures & get sizes for t-shirt orders, and give you the script & access to online content so you can look over it all before the rehearsals begin and start learning your lines once we post the cast list! We'll have plenty of people on hand at this session too to answer any questions before we get to the big week!
During the main week (Monday 8th - Friday 12th August) we'll be based at the Gallery Studio Theatre, and will be rehearsing 9am-5pm each day (with early drop off available from 8.30am, and pick up any time by 5.30pm). We'll have a range of sessions every day, to learn the whole show in the week! The scenery, props, sound and lighting etc will be in place from day 1, so you'll have the unique opportunity to practise everything on the actual stage throughout the week! We'll have a big creative team to work with, and licensed chaperones present at all times. Please note that everyone will need to bring a packed lunch and drinks every day, as for safeguarding reasons we won't be letting people leave the building during the day (facilities will be available for refilling water bottles).
On Saturday 13th August we'll be doing our dress rehearsal in the morning, and 2 performances of the show to an audience (3pm & 7pm). Between shows, we'll order in pizza for everyone, but you'll still need a packed lunch for beforehand. Tickets to be in the audience for these shows will be just £10 each, available to buy soon!
All of this is only £90 per person (sibling discount price £80). For a limited time we're also running an early bird deal, so if you sign up before the end of May it's only £80 per person! Payment in full is required on sign up to guarantee your place. If for any reason we have to cancel the project, you'll receive a full refund - however if you choose to cancel your booked place, you'll only receive a 75% refund of any monies paid.
To sign up, simply click on the link below and fill in the info & permission forms - then pay the fees and you're in! There's a limited number of spaces available, so please register quickly to avoid disappointment. We'll email you with more information a bit closer to the dates, but if you have any questions at any time, please get in touch with us!

A bit more about the show
Based on the award-winning Broadway musical and the smash hit motion picture, Legally Blonde JR. is a fabulously fun journey of self-empowerment and expanding horizons. The show's instantly recognisable songs are filled with humour, wit and sass – leaving cast members and audiences alike seeing pink!
Legally Blonde JR. follows the transformation of Elle Woods as she tackles stereotypes, snobbery and scandal in pursuit of her dreams. When Elle's high school boyfriend, Warner, dumps her and heads to Harvard, claiming she's not "serious" enough, Elle takes matters into her own hands, crafting a showy song-and-dance personal essay and charming her way into law school. Befriending classmate, Emmett, and hairdresser, Paulette, along the way, Elle finds that books and looks aren't mutually exclusive. As Elle begins outsmarting her peers, she realises that law may be her natural calling after all.
Legally Blonde JR. features large, energetic dance numbers with a big ensemble of sorority sisters, law school students, hairdressers and more!
