Join our Virtual Ensemble!

As a big finale for our 5th Birthday Showcase, we're thrilled to be doing another 'virtual ensemble' project, with the song Heart of Stone from the popular musical SIX!

We're looking for as many people as possible to join in, and all you have to do is complete the 4 steps below and become a part of it! Everyone who is performing in the showcase will also be singing along live (so please practise your chosen part!), but we'd love you to record a video too so everyone can be on the big screen!  There's some of our past similar videos linked below, but we're aiming for this one to be the biggest and best yet, and can't wait to see it all come together!

For vocalists, there's 5 lines to choose from, with Part 1 being the highest (Soprano) and Part 5 being the lowest (Bass) - you can record and submit as many of these lines as you wish!  For musicians, there's lots of instrumental parts to pick from, but if there isn't one for your instrument, or you'd like us to adapt or transpose a part for you - please reach out to us and we'll make it happen!

1) Pick & Learn Your Part

Have a look at the demo tracks and parts listed at the link here and simply pick the one (or multiple ones) that you'd like to do, learn it and get ready to record your video!

All of the parts start with 4 metronome clicks, then you have clap to help us to sync up everyone - so it goes *click* *click* *click* *click* *CLAP* *click* *click* *click* then the song starts! (You don't have to click, just clap!)

You can see further down this page the distribution of parts which have been submitted so far, so if you are able to do a part which has less recordings, we'd be really grateful to keep it all as balanced as possible! We'd love to have as many people involved as we can though, so even if the part you'd like to do has already been submitted lots, still go for it!

If you'd like to get an idea for the original song to help you to learn it, you can find it on YouTube, Spotify, or any music platform you use - simply search for 'Heart of Stone SIX' and you'll find it!

2) Record Your Video

You don't need any fancy equipment (your phone will be fine!) just please make sure you film in landscape not portrait!

You'll need to listen to one of the demo tracks through headphones or earphones while you record, so you stay in time with everyone else, but so that we can't hear the track in your recording. The only thing we should be able to see & hear in the recording is you! The demo tracks are all in our Google Drive folder, so you may want to download the relevant track, so you're not risking buffering half way through the perfect take!

If you can, please submit one single video, starting with the clap for sync, and running through to the end of the song. For reference, the group vocals start around 0:55 as it starts with some solos which will be recorded by our cast of SIX!

Of course if you do have more sophisticated recording setups for sound and/or video, please do use them, but a phone recording will be perfectly suitable if not!

3) Send It To Us

The deadline is the 19th October, so make sure you've got your recordings sent to us before then, to guarantee being in the final edit!    The edit will take a long time as we'll be working around shows and other projects, and we have to submit the song to platforms well before release, so can't accept any recordings after this date.

You can submit your video by filling in the form at the link here - if you're sending us multiple parts, simply fill in the form individually for each one!

You can either email the recordings to us (info@limelightperformers.co.uk), send them via WhatsApp (07342163704), or upload them to a file sharing website like Google Drive or  WeTransfer.com (or unlisted on a video sharing site like YouTube) and send the link to us with the form.

4) Wait For The Final Edit!

We'll be premiering the finished video as the finale of the showcase (8th November), then will also publish it online on Monday 10th. We'll also share the video on all of our social media platforms so there'll be lots of chances to catch it!

The song will also be available on almost every music platform, so you'll be able to find it on Spotify, iTunes, Amazon, Apple Music, TikTok and anywhere else you stream music online!

To date our previous projects released in this way have had over 57,000 streams worldwide - so we can't wait to see how this one performs!

The only step left then is to share it with everyone you can, and keep an eye out for any future projects we run in this way, as we'd love to continue to grow it, and for you to be a part of it again!

The charts here show you the current breakdown of recordings we've had submitted.

If you're able to record a part which hasn't been done as much, we'd really appreciate it to help to balance everything out - but even if the one you'd like to do is the most popular so far, please still go for it!

If the charts aren't displaying properly (e.g. on mobile), you can click the links below to check!
